For Mexican citizens visiting the United States, plan around a valid Mexican passport plus the U.S. visa or Border Crossing Card that fits your trip. CBP says a Border Crossing Card can be used alone only for direct land, ferry, or pleasure-vessel entry from Mexico under BCC rules.
Match fans driving north should separate document prep from lane prep. Ready Lane needs an RFID-enabled card, and a standard passport book does not qualify for Ready Lane. SENTRI is different: every traveler using a dedicated SENTRI lane must have the required trusted traveler status and card.
For San Diego and Los Angeles match trips, check San Ysidro, Otay Mesa, Tecate, and Calexico wait pages before leaving Tijuana, Mexicali, or Ensenada. For Texas trips, compare Laredo, Hidalgo, Pharr, Brownsville, and El Paso area crossings before committing to a bridge.
If you need a new SENTRI membership, start at the Trusted Traveler Programs portal, complete the application, pay the required fee, and wait for conditional approval before scheduling an interview. Do not plan match-day lane access around an application that is still pending.
Carry proof for the whole travel party, including children. Also check vehicle documents, insurance, rental-car permission, prohibited foods or agricultural goods, medicines, and cash reporting rules before joining the line.
